Over 50 specimens pasted onto the 12 album leaves; leaves and specimens affected by damp with fungal growth; a little worming in inner margin.
An early collection of seaweed, assembled by Mrs Harriet Wright [1773-1843], sadly in poor condition, but with an interesting provenance. Henrietta Howard (nee Wright) was the daughter of Ichabod Wright [1767-1862] of Mapperley Hall, Basford and of his wife Harriet (nee Day). In 1824, she married The Very Rev. The Hon. Henry Edward John Howard D.D. [1795-1868], Dean of Lichfield and son of Frederick Howard, 5th Earl of Carlisle.
